National Small Business Week kicks off the first week of May. According to the Small Business Association website:

Every year since 1963, the President of the United States has issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Did you know that half of Americans either work for or own a small business? To celebrate the achievements of these small business owners and employees, national, regional and local events are taking place across the country.

Even if your small business isn’t a part of the official NSBW agenda, this week is a great opportunity to celebrate your small business’ success and your place within your community. Host a party for your employees and/or customers, promote new products or menu items, or invite your charity partner in for a day or night of fundraising!
